Drawing a great smile is actually harder than it looks in my opinion, especially when the teeth are shown. Keys to a successful smile drawing is:
- Looks for subtleties in the shading on the lips. The forms are complex and attention to detail is important to show the fullness of the lips.
- Don’t draw and shade in too much details in the teeth. Less is more when it comes to drawing teeth. If you draw too much detail and fill it with hard lines, the mouth becomes creepy looking. Save that for your horror drawings.
- Make the lips shine. Especially for female lips, more shine, more gloss, equals for attractiveness.
